UF-MUF-MF-based glues

The process is a batch process based on the mixing of liquid formaldehyde (or UFC), water, urea, melamine and others additives to control the pH of the mixture according to a given receipt into a reactor of the proper capacity.

The reaction normally requires cooling and heating of the mixture according to a proper profile temperature/time and at a given moment/scheduling of the production receipt.

As can be easily understood, the scheduling of the different phases as the dosing speed of the several materials foreseen by the receipt is very important: so, the reactor must be equipped with all the necessary sensors and devices to easily and reliably measure and control the production process (flowrates, weights, …).

When discharged from the reactor towards the tank farm, the glue must have a specified pH, a given viscosity and a temperature around 35°C (when the ambient temperature is quite high, the cooling of the tank may be necessary by recirculating the glue through a cooler).
